Pratham’s Annual Survey of Education Report (ASER) 2023 has now been published.
This is an annual survey published by the education non-profit Pratham which aims to provide reliable estimates of children’s enrolment and basic learning levels for each district and state in India.
It is the annual source of information on children’s learning outcomes available in India.
The 2023 ASER report explores the educational status of 14-18-year-olds in India. The report reveals that 85.6% of the cohort are enrolled in school or college. However, a significant number of youth lack foundational literacy and numeracy skills. The report emphasizes the need to improve these skills in higher grades.
